Urban Revival

Launched in 2017, in the Silverstream Development on the fringe of Kaiapoi, Urban Revival has been a central hub for the community ever since.

With its aim to “revive with fresh foods”, Urban Revival has an emphasis on healthy, delicious and local ingredients. Noted for its freshly made cuisine the Urban Revival menu spans the day, starting with an extensive breakfast menu through to delicious café offerings and evening dining on Fridays.

Their fresh-baked muffins and scones are a hit each morning, best served alongside a hot coffee, for which they use a custom blend created and roasted locally by Richard at Three Llamas Coffee. Or for something a little different, a range of delicious raw slices, and fresh blended smoothies will set you up for the day – try the mixed berry banana with coconut water! Fully licensed, Urban Revival has five beers on tap and a selection of the best local wines – perfect for that lunchtime tipple or Friday night happy hour from 5pm.

Q&A with Clare Giffard of Urban Revival

Why North Canterbury? My passion is setting up new communities, creating the place for them to meet and mix and mingle with others.  I love the rural open spaces of North Canterbury along with the coastal scenes, and seeing the growth of Waimakariri – smaller towns within a region.

What’s your favourite thing to do in North Canterbury? The outdoors, with walks, tracks, rivers and beaches.

Name your top three North Canterbury brands (other than your own, of course!): Three Llamas Coffee, The Wineries (hard to choose one when I associate with 5 – 6 regularly!), Grown, Colourfields, Harris Meats…
